Hello, I'm a new comer to your site and I must say it is very well written and researched. I'm not much of a camper anymore, As I get older I don't much care to sleep on the ground , But I still retain much of my survivalist traits and keep a bug out bag at the ready.

I just finished reading you article about building a stand for the supercat stove. I thought that instead of pop riveting the two pieces together, you could use two tents stakes inserted through holes in both pieces to hold them together. In doing so the whole unit could be nested together for travel thus saving precious room in your pack.

I really enjoy reading your articles and look forward to more in the future, keep up the good work.

Bob -

Thanks for your comments... Will give some thought to your suggestion about the tent stakes. Always like to save a bit of pack space.

Best regards,
Jim Wood.
