Great article, Jim. I slid all around the first time I used my Tarptent with silnylon floor. Found your directions, mixed by weight as you direct, and one thin coat cured it. Henry Shires ought to link to your site.

One thing you might make note of - "low-odor" is not the same as "odorless" mineral spirits. I think either will work the same but true odorless spirits are much more pleasant to use.

Hawkeye: Thanks for your comments... I'm glad the process worked well for you.

By the way, if you find you have a problem with your silnylon tent "misting" in heavy rains, you can use the same process (though perhaps slightly more diluted to say, 1:5) to seal the canopy.
